Each of our standard laboratory viscometers/rheometers comes with a built-in spring-loaded hairspring for calculating the viscosity of materials. These spring-loaded hairsprings have different measuring capabilities:

The LV is suitable for low viscosity materials and can measure the thinnest materials. Typical examples include inks, oils and solvents.
The RV is suitable for measuring medium viscosity materials that are slightly more viscous than the LV series. Typical examples include creams, food and paints.
The HA is suitable for measuring materials with higher viscosities than the RV series. Typical examples include gels, chocolate and epoxy resins.
HB is suitable for measuring materials with higher viscosity compared to the HA series. Typical examples include bitumen, gap filling compounds and molasses.
