External calibration for /E models, internal calibration for all others (AutoCal, automatic internal calibration every 11 hours or 1.5˚C difference in temperature).

The AD is an automatic hood door model - incorporating the concept of automatically opening the left and right doors of the hood, allowing the customer to pick up samples without their hands touching the balance, while the top door slides back and lifts up.

The Explorer™ electronic balance features a large 5.7" touchscreen display, convenient graphical interface software SmarText™ 2.0, a balance windshield with anti-static coated glass windshield, and an automatic windshield door that opens with a wave of the hand for easy and efficient balance operation.
