Some models such as the Elcometer 355 have a robust aluminium casing for use in harsh environments, the Elcometer 415 is robust and resistant to powder coating ingress and has a protection rating equivalent to IP64 and the Elcometer 500 is ergonomically designed and sealed against dust and water and has a protection rating of IP54, making it suitable for use in harsh environments.
With a large memory for storing up to 10,000 readings in batches, data transfer to PCs etc. and a wide range of probe modules, the Elcometer 355 offers the flexibility to adapt to a wide range of measurement applications.As well as measuring coating thickness, the Elcometer 415 displays statistics such as the number of readings taken, average, minimum and maximum values, helping to assess the overall industrial finish.

The Elcometer 500 has a built-in signal strength indicator to prevent false readings and with three calibration options, it is easy to use as there is no need to know the thickness of the coating or to set the measuring gate before measuring.

Fast measurement speeds: The Elcometer 415 has a reading rate of over 60 readings per minute, reducing inspection time and increasing productivity. The Elcometer 500 has a reading rate of over 60 readings per minute in standard mode and over 140 readings per minute in scanning mode, significantly reducing inspection time.

There are different types of Elcometer Coating Thickness Gauges to suit every need, such as the Elcometer 121 Coating Observer which measures the thickness of coatings on all substrates such as steel, wood, plastics, concrete etc., and is sometimes the only way to accurately measure the thickness of coatings on plastic, concrete and wood substrates.

The Elcometer 355 Industrial Paint and Powder Thickness Gauge provides fast, accurate paint and powder thickness measurements on smooth and thin industrial coated surfaces.

With an accuracy of ±1% or 1μm, the Elcometer 355 is ideal for thin substrates where precision and accuracy of measurement are critical.

Evaluation of storage key statistics
In addition to coating thickness, the Elcometer 355 records key statistics such as the number of readings (n), average coating thickness (x) minimum coating thickness (Lo) and standard deviation (σ).

Stores up to 10,000 readings in 200 data sets
Measure coatings up to 1,500 μm (60 mils) on metal substrates, with data output making it compatible with ElcoMaster®.

The instruments are available in standard and advanced models, with large memory for storing up to 10,000 readings in batches, and data can be transferred to a PC, data logger or printer as required.

A wide range of probe modules are available, simply choose the most suitable. All probe modules are supplied with calibration tabs.
