Solarbox Benchtop Tanning Firmness Machine
Product Description
Solarbox Benchtop Tanning Firmness Machine
Manufacturer: CO.FO.ME.GRA, Italy
Hot model: 1500e
Equipped with a 1,500-watt xenon lamp, it provides a horizontal exposure area of 200 x 280 millimeters.
auxiliary illumination
Irradiance is the energy of the light that strikes a sample and must be controlled if accurate and reproducible test results are to be obtained. The SOLARBOX Benchtop Sunfastness Machine's radiant energy is supplied by an air-cooled xenon lamp, which is positioned at the focal point of the parabolic reflector in the test chamber, thus distributing the light uniformly and eliminating the need for rotating specimen fixtures.
During the test, the instrument continuously measures and controls irradiance and compensates for lamp and filter usage losses by means of a closed loop radiation narrowband sensing control system.
key feature
- Light source: air-cooled xenon lamps
- Radiance is displayed and controlled, and can be set from 250-1000W/m2, greatly speeding up the solarization process and making it an ideal tool for factory quality control;
- Black standard temperature display and control
- Selectively tests and displays the temperature and relative humidity in the test chamber.
- Test time can be set to a maximum of 999 hours
- 15 test standards can be freely set
- Microprocessor-controlled, four-line LCD display
- Output of information via bi-directional RS 232 interface
- 280 nm filter for the strongest UV radiation
- Timed storage of test conditions and all parameters. Transfer to a computer or printer is also possible via an RS 232 cable.
temperature control
The heat received from the xenon lamp is continuously monitored by a black standard thermometer (B.S.T.) set close to the sample on the test panel. The black standard thermometer in the SOLARBOX 1500e and 3000e Benchtop Tanning Firmness Machines displays and controls between 35°C and 100°C. The B.S.T. thermometer is used to measure the heat received from the xenon lamp.
Mimic the effect of rain and humidity
For the SOLARBOX 1500e and 3000e Benchtop Sunfastness Testers, a water injection system for climatic testing is available. This system allows the free selection of the time between water injections.
-Water indicator for continuous water filling
-Selection of 1 to 999 minute water injection intervals during testing
-The xenon lamp can be set to on or off during water injection.
The standard water injection system uses soft, demineralized water supplied in a closed loop line or an optional pumping system that allows the soft water to flow from the laboratory piping to the sample trays. The system is made of PVC and corrosion-resistant materials to ensure long-lasting use.
Combination of xenon lamps and filters optimized to simulate sunlight
Accelerated solarization procedures require accurate simulation of the sun's rays, and the SOLARBOX 1500/1500e and 3000/3000e are four new filtered xenon sun and climate testers (benchtop sunfastness testers) that can realistically mimic natural outdoor climatic conditions. The air-cooled xenon lamps of the SOLARBOX simulate the full solar spectrum, not just the UV portion of the sun's rays. Simple replacement of the UV filter simulates the spectral distribution of the product's end-use environment:
-280nm: Equivalent to strong sunlight, including high altitude sunlight.
-300nm: Equivalent to normal direct sunlight
-310nm: equivalent to sunlight filtered through window glass
-Infrared filters to reduce the temperature value of the sample.
